A support person includes, but is not limited to, a support worker, carer or family member.

If you participate in discussions or ask a question your voice will be captured, but this will just be used to collate summary recordings of these sessions.

Your personal information is protected by law, including the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, and is being collected by the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing (the department) for the primary purpose of organising and communicating with you about Australia’s Disability Strategy National Forum 2026.

This communication will include:

• confirmation of attendance 
• updates on the agenda and speakers at the Forum and 
• post event evaluation. 

The department will not disclose your personal information to any overseas recipients.

If you do not provide this information you will not be able to register. This is because we will not be able to collect your email address to provide you with information about the event. We will also not be able to provide you the appropriate supports and accommodations to support you to attend the Forum.
