The International Coalition of Medicines Regulatory Authorities (ICMRA) is a forum to support international cooperation among medicines regulatory authorities. Through supporting enhanced communication and information sharing, ICMRA helps address emerging regulatory science issues being faced by medicines regulatory authorities, provide direction and support to challenges across all areas within the regulatory mandates of national medicines regulatory authorities, and respond to regional and global major health crisis. ICMRA includes representation of national medicines regulatory authorities from over 30 countries, as well as experts from the World Health Organization (WHO).

The annual ICMRA Summit and Plenary is an opportunity for the Heads and senior staff of medicines regulatory authorities from around the world to come together to share information and discuss current and emerging issues facing medicines regulators.

The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) of Australia looks forward to hosting the 2023 ICMRA Summit and Plenary in Melbourne, 13-16 November. The Summit will include a thought-provoking scientific program looking at what the future may require from national medicines regulatory authorities to keep pace with new and innovative developments in medical advancements.

TGA and our recently appointed Head of Agency, Professor Anthony Lawler, look forward to welcoming international delegates to Melbourne, a city rich in cultural history and a vibrant dining and art scene that come alive during the Australian Summer.
