The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing Primary Care Conference 2026 will run
from 23-24 March at the National Convention Centre in Canberra, on Ngunnawal Country.

This event brings together primary care leaders, including Primary Health Networks, Commonwealth
and state/territory officials, peak bodies, practitioners, academics, and consumers from across Australia. 

This year’s theme, Primary Care Teams: Integrating Collaboration, Policy and Technology,
highlights the power of combining robust policy, digital innovation, and engagement,
aiming for a connected and responsive primary care system.  

The program features interactive workshops and presentations aimed at enhancing primary health care
through education, data, research, innovative programs and policy.
Key topics include team-based care, digital innovation, cross sector engagement and fostering
collaboration between multidisciplinary teams and research networks to support better outcomes for Australians. 

This conference presents a valuable opportunity for primary care professionals, researchers, and policy makers to engage in discussions and contribute to the ongoing development of primary health care in Australia.
