Frequently Asked Questions

   Does the Forum cost any money?

Attendance at the Forum is free. Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided each day. 

If you travel to Adelaide for the event you will need to arrange and pay for your own transport, accommodation and support if you need it. 

Funded bursaries are available for people with disability to help cover travel and accommodation costs at the National Forum. For details email pwd@pwd.org.au.

   Who is the Forum for?  

The Forum is for all people who interested in inclusion of people with disability in Australia. The Forum will be accessible for all people with disability as well as their supporters, families, carers and allies to attend. The information shared and discussions held will be interesting and useful to everyone.

   Who needs to register?  

Everyone who wants to attend the Forum on 24 and 25 February needs register. This includes if you want to join online. Videos will be available later if you aren’t available to attend. 

   How do I register?

You can register online

If you are bringing a support person to the Forum in Adelaide, they will need to submit their own registration form. If you know who your support person will be, you can tell us in your registration and we will send them their own registration form. If you don’t know who your support person will be they can register on the day.

   When are registrations due?

Registrations close Friday 13 February 2026.

   How do I provide information about my accessibility needs?

When you register using the registration form, you will be asked to provide information about your access needs.  

This information will assist with planning for the Forum and will help make sure your needs are accommodated. 

If you miss something from the form you can email us at AustraliasDisabilityStrategy@health.gov.au and we will update your form for you.

   Will support be available at the events?

The Forum has been designed to be accessible, it will have: 

  • Auslan Interpreting 
  • live captioning
  • an infrared hearing assistance system
  • support of assistance animals attending, and water and toilet areas for them 
  • dedicated event staff to assist you on the day  
  • first aid rooms, and defibrillators 
  • braille signage throughout all buildings 
  • support of Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program, with lanyards available on site 
  • quiet spaces on request, and accessible meeting pods.

If you have any dietary, accessibility, or other support needs to participate at the Forum, please let us know when you register, so we can accommodate your needs. 

   How can I get to the Forum?

   Where do I go to collect my name tag once I arrive at the Forum?

The registration desk for the Forum will be in the East Building, located on level 1 in Foyer E.

   When will the Forum Program be available? 

We will publish the Forum Program on the website in January 2026. 

   Will the sessions in the Forum be recorded or livestreamed? 

Yes, all sessions on both days of the Forum will be recorded and livestreamed. For privacy the Q&A sessions will not be livestreamed.
